Welcome to Economics at ECU!
The Department of Economics at ECU provides students with a broad overview of fundamental economic issues relevant for policy makers, analysts and consultants, managers in companies large and small, individual entrepreneurs running their own businesses, or even those who aspire to become academics by pursuing doctorate degrees. Our program is primarily applied in nature and provides students with opportunities to develop technical skills necessary for conducting rigorous statistical analysis but also introduces them to the current economic issues by engaging them in cutting-edge research with our faculty.
ECU offers four concentrations within our undergraduate economics degree programs; a master’s degree in quantitative economics; and a coastal and marine economics and policy concentration within the coastal resources management doctoral degree program.
